Outcome Based Education (OBE)

OBE Concept

Outcome Based Education (OBE) is a student-centered educational approach that focuses on achieving clearly defined learning outcomes in terms of knowledge, skills, and attitudes. The OBE framework emphasizes what students are expected to achieve at the end of a programme rather than only the content delivered during the course. This approach ensures that education is aligned with industry requirements and global academic standards, enabling graduates to perform effectively in professional environments.

Learning Outcome Framework

The learning outcome framework at CASC defines the expected competencies students must acquire during the course of their study. These outcomes include subject knowledge, analytical ability, problem-solving skills, communication competence, and professional ethics. Continuous assessment methods such as assignments, presentations, practical evaluations, and examinations are aligned with these outcomes to measure student progress effectively and ensure attainment of programme objectives.
