The undergraduate Computer Science with Data Science major gives the students the relevance of computing and Information Science & Technology to every academic discipline, and emphasizes exposure to interdisciplinary research that will drive innovation in the future.
In addition to courses in traditional CS fields like systems, theory and AI, students will be able to leverage the multidisciplinary interests of the faculty to study newer fields like Human-Centered Computing, Social and Information Networks, Digital Image Processing, data-driven Robotics Networks and cyber law. They will not only develop a diverse set of skills to prepare for graduate school and for employment, but will also be encouraged to launch their own Startups or venture into new types of careers using their interdisciplinary training.

The Computer Science major available in CASC will prepare you for a world of incredible opportunities. The computer science faculty will challenge the students to deepen their intellectual curiosity, and the curriculum designed will allow the students to tailor the computing studies to your specific areas of interest. Along the way, the students will be always encouraged to develop both algorithmic fundamentals and a framework for understanding that will enable you to keep pace with the ever-changing world of computer science.
The department offers Computer Science program with a general option where students can design their own focus, or select from various specializations: Artificial Intelligence, Computer Security, Game Development, Computer Networks, Software Engineering High, Intelligent Robotics, Multimedia and Creative Technologies, and Data Science. The degree can be completed entirely with course work; however, an optional Internship is available for those students with an affinity for research.
