B.Sc Digital & Cyber Forensics Science is a three-year Under-Graduate degree that trains IT professionals in information/network security, forensic investigation of compromised systems, and recording cyber forensic evidence for use in courts of law.
The technique of retrieving information and data from computers when investigating cybercrime is known as cyber forensics. Forensic professionals evaluate digital data to find, preserve, recover, and present facts and outcomes. Those who complete this degree will be able to contribute significantly to computer forensics and information security.
The Cyber Forensics course curriculum includes programming methods in C++, Java, Linux, PHP, ASP.Net, Internet Technology, and Cyber Laws. Practical sessions at the Internet Programming and Computer Security Lab Biometric security, digital evidence preservation and recovery, ethical hacking and digital forensics, mobile and wireless security, security threats and vulnerabilities, and so on.
Cyber forensics can be defined as a branch of forensic science dedicated to recovery and investigation of digital or electronic data. These data can be from any digital asset or data storing entity which includes a computer system, mobile device, cloud service, and so on. Technically, all these digital assets have a different design to store data and this makes the very base for dividing digital forensics into several categories.
