Library

The Library at Cherraan’s Arts is well-stocked and fully-computerized. It has around 22,000 books covering almost all aspects of Science, Commerce & Humanities. It regularly subscribes to about maximum periodicals including 5 daily newspapers in Tamil and English. Internet facility is also available for both students and faculty members of the institution. The services offered by the library are circulation, consultation, reference and inter- library loan.

“Knowledge is power and library is the powerhouse“.  Books are the best teachers and counselors. To synchronize theory and practice, the journals, magazines and newspapers are very helpful for the student community. A library in our college premises is a collection of information, resources and services which are available for the students and faculty of CASC for studies and research, organized for use, and maintained by a responsible body.  The library has comfortable reading rooms spread with a seating capacity of 100. In CASC, we extend its current awareness services by providing newspapers/ magazines in the staff Room and the student’s common room. The CASC library remains open for the students and faculty from 8:00 am to 6.30 p.m on all working days.

The Cherraan’s Group of Institutions has invested more than Rs 20 lakhs for the library in the last 3 year from the inception for the purchase of the books and journals. The management and college committee have decided to procure books for Rs 5 Lakhs each year and Rs 2 Lakhs for subscribing the journals and periodicals.
